Have you guys seen the beautiful Chicago home designed by Steven Gambrel in the latest issue of House Beautiful?  The home is full of layers of color and texture.  My favorite room is the library which is painted in a custom high lacquered blue.

I'm a big fan of multi functional rooms and this family made of their dining room one of them.  Not sure if the glass doors are actually framed in metal but they look amazing.  I've always craved the simplistic elegance of Jason Wu chairs for Canvas.  Here Steven used them around a custom made round table.

The use of abundant white and beige throughout the bedroom allows for the use of dark color on the walls.

It would be truly delightful to cook in a kitchen like this with such high ceilings and so much light coming in through those architectural doors.  Having a fireplace to warm up the cold nights while cooking and enjoying a glass of wine just adds to the charm.
